Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc (USPI) seeks a compassionate Full-Time PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse for Western Carolina Surgery Center in North Carolina. The RN will care for patients before and after surgery, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the surgical journey.

The role requires an accredited RN program graduate with an active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and PACU or critical care experience; PALS if required. Strong nursing judgment and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity of nursing care before and after surgery.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care through discharge prep.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care before and after surgery, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and positive experience throughout the surgical journey.

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
