Job summary

Eye Surgery Center of Nashville is hiring a Pre-Op PACU RN to provide comprehensive nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia. The role includes assessment, planning, and delivery of safe, quality care in both pre-op and post-op areas, with opportunities to circulate as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license (unrestricted) in the state.

• Current BLS and ACLS.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients recovering from anesthesia or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and families pre-discharge.
• Circulate as needed and work in both pre‑op and post‑op areas.

Pre Op PACU RN at Eye Surgery Center of Nashville

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a candidate who is willing to cross‑train to circulate as well as work in both pre‑op and post‑op areas.
• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS, ALS
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
