Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) is seeking a Pre Op PACU Registered Nurse to deliver continuous, high-quality perioperative care for patients before and after surgery at Bucks County Surgical Suites Highpoint.

The role requires a PA RN license, BLS/ACLS, and preference for a PALS within one year. Candidates with perioperative experience and strong clinical leadership will excel in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in PA.
• BLS and ACLS Required.
• PALS preferred upon hire and required within one year of hiring.
• One year experience preferred in a perioperative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous and quality nursing care for all patients in PreOp and PACU.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family care in preparation for discharge.
• Coordinate care for patients of all ages in PreOp and PACU; communicate with team members.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Participate in quality improvement audits and committee work as designated.

Pre Op PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN)

The Pre Op / PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge. Plans, coordinates, and oversees care for patients of any age in the PreOp and PACU department. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to other team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the manager, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits, and projects.
