Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, GA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse, Pre-op to schedule surgical procedures and pre-operative visits, conduct interviews, assess patients, and develop plans of care for the neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric surgical populations. The role reports to the Director of Surgical Services.

The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, prioritize, plan, deliver and evaluate care, participate in outpatient care

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required with successful passing of the national NCLEX exam for professional nursing.
• Formal Training: 2 years nursing experience preferred.
• Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Georgia. BLS required. ACLS, and PALS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Work Experience: Advanced technical nursing skills. Intermediate knowledge of the nursing process. Basic word processing computer skills. Experience in PACU / Pre-operative nursing preferred.
• Experience in Phase I recovery, pre-operative care, infusions, IV insertions. Must be able to function autonomously in all phases of nursing care. Must be able to take call on a rotating basis and work flexibly within dynamic work schedule.
