Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital – Main Campus is seeking a PACU nurse with opportunities to cross train and participate in the BJC RN Career Ladder. The role involves recovering neuro, transplant, orthopedics, ENT, cardio, vascular, thoracic, trauma and spine patients in a 90-bed PACU, with perioperative duties and a structured benefits program.

Preferred qualifications include critical care or PACU experience and a nursing diploma or higher.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree.
• RN license is required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care with assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Promotes patient and family centered care and education.
• Documents care plans and communicates across the care team.
• Ensures patient safety and participates in professional development.
