Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital – Main Campus in Missouri is seeking PACU nurses to join a 90-bed PACU at Phase I PACU Plaza West Tower. The role supports recovery for neuro, transplants, ortho, ENT, cardio, vascular, thoracic, trauma, spine patients with 24 hours of call per schedule and 4/10 shifts.

The RN Career Ladder offers progression and bonus eligibility. Candidates should have an RN license with Nursing Diploma/Associate's; Bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required.
• RN license required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the PACU setting including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Educates patients and families on post-anesthesia care, medications, and home care needs.
• Promotes patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; participates in professional development.
• Develops and documents individualized care plans with the interprofessional team.
