Job summary

Trinity Health Oakland Campus seeks a Patient Support Technician to assist with direct patient care under RN supervision. The role supports bed-side procedures, vital signs, and trended patient needs in a fast-paced PACU/pre-op setting.

Required is a high school diploma or GED, with preferred 6 months of recent patient care experience and a certified Patient Care Technician externship. This is a contingent/PRN, part-time opportunity on a rotating shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months direct patient care experience within past 5 years
• Completion of a Patient Care Technician program with externship in acute care

Responsibilities

• Provides basic bedside care and selected procedures under RN supervision (venipuncture, 12 lead EKG, glucose monitoring, respiratory care, dressings, vital signs).
• Performs activities of daily living (ADL) under RN direction.
• Provides basic nutritional support (bed setup, feeding, intake/calorie documentation).
• Performs other duties as assigned across units and care team.
