Job summary

Pain Care, LLC. is seeking a Pre-Op Medical Assistant/Triage MA to support both administrative and clinical tasks. You will prepare patients for surgery, assist with preoperative care, and collect essential information for clinicians.

The role requires working in the ASC as needed and in clinic as triage when the ASC is closed, with travel among Fayetteville, Griffin, Stockbridge, and Newnan locations. Strong communication and HIPAA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; CMA or LPN preferred.
• IV certification or venipuncture experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and infection control regulations.
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel between clinical locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts for upcoming visits and surgeries, ensuring all necessary information is available.
• Conduct patient interviews to gather medical history, check vital signs, and measure weight/height.
• Set up and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Collect and log laboratory specimens accurately.
• Assist with venipuncture and IV insertions.
• Present patients’ medical information to healthcare providers before examinations or surgery.
• Safeguard patient information in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with preoperative preparation.
• Monitor and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Help nurses with patient recovery and discharge.
• Perform triage by assessing symptoms and coordinating follow-up actions.
• Ensure sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Travel between clinic locations as needed.
