Job summary

NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Community Development Advisor for Greenwood Mortuary, Crematory and Memorial Park in San Diego, CA, focused on pre-need planning for cemetery and funeral services. You will educate families, build trust, and guide personalized preplanning decisions with compassion and professionalism.

You will actively engage churches and community partners, conduct seminars, schedule 10–12 appointments weekly, and maintain precise paperwork while tracking outcomes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with churches, civic groups, veteran organizations, hospice partners, senior living communities, and other local organizations.
• Schedule and conduct educational preplanning seminars.
• Confidently set appointments and guide families through personalized preplanning and product presentations.
• Provide professional and welcoming park tours.
• Prospect daily through seminars, web leads, file reviews, events, and outreach.
• Schedule 10–12 qualified pre-need appointments per week and track activity in CRM.
• Respond to inquiries with consistent, professional follow-up.
• Maintain accurate contract paperwork and required documentation.
• Track performance metrics and refine approaches.
• Stay current on veteran and Social Security benefits and other end-of-life planning considerations.
• Deliver world-class service with a positive attitude and proactive mindset.
• Participate in ongoing training with sales and regional leadership.
