Job summary

Emigrant Capital Corp. in New York seeks a Pre-MBA Private Equity Associate to join the investment team, supporting the full investment cycle from diligence to value creation. You will help build financial models, prepare memos, and evaluate opportunities across the portfolio.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, a bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution, and strong analytical and communication skills. A discretionary bonus complements the base salary in a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution.
• 1–2 years of related experience with meaningful financial modeling background.
• Completion of a formal financial training program is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex, raw data into clean and actionable analysis.
• Proficient in financial modeling and the transaction due diligence process.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the ECC deal team and support investment processes.
• Prepare internal and external presentations, reports, and investment memos.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and analyses for opportunities and portfolio companies.
• Evaluate prospective investments, including industry, financial and business due diligence.
• Interact with third-party advisors including bankers, lenders, lawyers and diligence advisors.
