Ideal candidates bring training in investment banking or strategy consulting and 1–2 years of relevant investing experience in private markets, with occasional travel for deal diligence as needed.

Qualifications

• Trained in investment banking or strategy consulting.
• 1–2 years of relevant investing experience in a transactions-oriented private markets setting.

Responsibilities

• Involved in all aspects of transaction evaluation: due diligence, financial modeling and valuation analysis; preparation of investment committee memoranda and presentations.
• Screening, analyzing and executing principal investments in private equity transactions; monitor portfolio companies with the value creation team.
• Perform ongoing due diligence and monitoring of partner companies; communicate updates to the investment committee (oral and written).
• Analyze investment opportunities and engage in due diligence / business analysis to develop and refine investment theses.
• Complete due diligence: review target information, data room, industry research, financial modeling, financial statement review, interactions with management and third-party reports.
• Prepare analysis and memorandums for internal discussions and formal investment committee approvals.
• Participate in deal team discussions and presentations with investment committee; liaise with management and due diligence providers during origination and underwriting.
• Participate in transaction closing, including legal documentation and funding operations.
