Job summary

Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh & Jardine in Englewood, CO seeks a Pre-Litigation Paralegal to independently manage assigned personal injury cases from intake through pre-litigation, working closely with attorneys.

Responsibilities include guiding clients, communicating with medical providers, reviewing and summarizing records, and maintaining organized files while leveraging Filevine or similar case management systems. A paralegal certificate or associate degree is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive pre-litigation experience (plaintiff personal injury).
• Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Extensive contact with clients to guide clients through the case process
• Communication with medical and records providers, experts and party witnesses
• Collect, review, analyze and summarize medical, financial, and other case-related documentation and records
• Well-developed writing and research skills, and the ability to advocate on behalf of our client
• Ability to anticipate attorney’s needs, identify potential problems and identify and recommend solutions
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize a high-volume workload
• Experience in managing electronic (Filevine or other legal case management system) and paper filing systems
