Qualifications

• Attorneys with 3+ years of experience in Personal Injury case management are encouraged to apply.
• Working knowledge of the Federal and State Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
• The candidate should have high level analytical and legal research and writing skills and a passion for advocating for injured parties due to the wrongful acts of another.
• This position will work closely with clients, and collaborate with senior attorneys, other associates, and legal staff.
• The ideal candidate should enjoy working with others and collaborating on personal injury matters to achieve the best outcome on behalf of Burg Simpson’s clients.
• A license to practice law is mandatory and a license to practice in Colorado is preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply, but is not a requirement of the position

Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury cases from inception through resolution, ensuring timing and strategic handling of all aspects of the case
• Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the client’s behalf when appropriate
• Conduct thorough case research, review medical records, and gather relevant information to build compelling cases
• Draft and modify legal documents that include demand letters and pleadings that include developing and responding to discovery, disclosures and motions
• Collaborate with legal staff to ensure cases are handled effectively and efficiently
• Maintain organized and updated documentation for each case in the firm’s case management system
