Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Los Angeles is seeking a Pre-Litigation Attorney to manage negotiations with insurance carriers and guide cases from claims to settlements without trial. The attorney will supervise Case Managers, review letters and records, and decide when to transition cases to litigation.

Requirements include a JD and an active license, about 3 years in litigation or pre-litigation, and experience negotiating with adjusters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law.
• Approximately 3 years of experience in litigation or pre-litigation (personal injury).
• Experience negotiating with insurance carriers/adjusters.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a caseload in the pre-litigation phase with Case Manager support.
• Review and approve Case Managers' work, including demand letters and medical records.
• Negotiate with insurance adjusters to secure favorable settlements for clients.
• Assess the legal viability and value of each case.
• Determine when cases should escape to the litigation team.
• Meet with clients to resolve complex legal matters.
• Provide guidance and direction to the Case Manager team.
