Job Description

As a Benefit Advisor, you will have the rewarding opportunity to speak with Medicare-eligible participants across the country in a sales role to assist them in selecting insurance plans that meet their needs. You will spend your entire day in phone conversations with participants, exercising patience and knowledge with caring explanations to enroll them in healthcare insurance products.

Pre-licensed Benefit Advisors will start at $18/hr. and will have significant incentive earning potential during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (Oct-Dec). During this period, many Benefit Advisors make between $500-$1,000 in monthly bonuses & incentives, with our top BAs earning $2,000+.

This is a full-time temporary role. Top performers may be eligible for full-time year-round employment based on business needs, which offers a robust WTW compensation and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in and progress through a paid exam preparation program and pass your state’s Life and Health Insurance license exam
• Complete all required certifications to represent local and national insurance carriers
• Use a consultative sales approach to assess the insurance needs of participants
• Conduct eligibility and needs analysis for suitable plan options
• Communicate the costs and benefits of insurance plans over the phone empathetically
• Make plan recommendations based on individual needs and assist in decision-making
• Maintain professionalism and patience with callers, including scheduled and first-time callers
• Participate in outbound call campaigns to introduce new participants to our company
• Work as a team player in a diverse call center environment

Qualifications and Requirements

• Adhere to all legal regulations
• Strong computer skills, self-motivated, and receptive to feedback
• Patience and good listening skills to recognize participant needs
• Ability to adapt communication style based on region, client, and medical needs
• Overcome objections with knowledge, patience, and understanding
• High School Diploma or GED
• During peak season (Oct-Dec), overtime may be required
• Complete extensive background checks to obtain licensing

Training Requirements

• Participate in a paid 4-week exam preparation program
• Pass the state Life and Health license exam to qualify for further training
• Attend a virtual two-week training and a week of nesting with the team

Work from Home Equipment and Requirements

• Equipment provided; a dedicated, distraction-free workspace required
• Own or secure a reliable internet connection (min 10 MB/s upload, 100 MB/s download)
• Use a wired Ethernet connection
• Have a personal smartphone or device for VPN access
• Work during assigned shifts, including scheduled breaks and lunch
