The Pre-Launch Sales Manager will be the primary coach, strategist, and accountability partner
for franchisees as they navigate the 90-day pre-launch ramp-up and transition into a successful
Grand Opening period. This role ensures each studio builds early momentum, hits critical sales
KPIs and enters their first 30 days post-opening with a strong customer base, trained team, and

comfortable coaching entrepreneurs through ambiguity, while aligning them to a proven path of
execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-Launch Sales Strategy & Planning
Partner with franchisees 90 days out to develop and customize a pre-launch sales
roadmap based on brand playbooks and local market dynamics
Define and cascade weekly KPIs (e.g., leads captured, lead source attribution, cost per
lead, outreach volume, conversion rate, sales closed, % toward $50K pre-launch goal)
Support package and membership pricing guidance in alignment with brand strategy
2. Franchisee Coaching & Team Readiness
Lead franchisee and GM training on sales processes, outreach best practices, lead
management, and the Pause customer journey
Host weekly check-ins to review progress, troubleshoot issues, and refine tactics
Ensure each studio team is confident and prepared to engage prospects and close sales by
opening
Partner with marketing to ensure all digital, grassroots, and event marketing efforts are
driving qualified traffic and leads
Help franchisees operationalize lead handling via CRM (e.g., follow-up workflows,
outreach tracking, nurture campaigns)
Coach on converting leads from events, ambassador programs, referrals, and online
Monitor and report weekly performance against goals using Pause Studio’s pre-launch
Identify trends across studios and surface learnings that can be standardized or optimized
across the system
Flag high-risk studios early and deploy proactive support plans
5. Transition into Grand Opening Execution
Drive momentum into the first 30 days post-opening by ensuring warm leads are
scheduled, staff are executing outreach plans, and local buzz is peaking
Oversee launch-week sales and scheduling operations, including:
o Sales huddle cadence with studio teams
o Event and community engagement conversion support
o Real-time adjustments to hit Week 1 and Month 1 revenue goals
Facilitate Grand Opening performance review and handoff to Field Operations or Studio
Success teams
Qualifications & Experience
3–5+ years of experience in sales or franchisee support within the health, fitness,
Proven experience supporting or leading successful pre-launch sales campaigns and new
location openings
Experience training teams and coaching business owners to adopt sales systems and hit
performance targets
Strong working knowledge of sales tech stacks (CRM, outreach tools, KPI dashboards)
Highly organized with a bias toward action and comfort in startup/franchise environments
Willingness to travel 25–50% of the time, especially during Grand Openings
