Job summary

Little Building Blocks in Gardner, Kansas is seeking a dedicated Pre-K Teacher to create an engaging learning environment for children ages 4-5. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of teaching experience in an early childhood education setting and a passion for fostering children's growth. Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate lessons and building strong relationships with families and coworkers. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Pre‑K Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about preparing children for kindergarten while creating a classroom environment where every child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn each day.

What You’ll Do

• Create a fun, nurturing, and engaging classroom for children ages 4–5
• Plan and implement age‑appropriate lessons that inspire curiosity and confidence
• Prepare children socially, emotionally, and academically for kindergarten success
• Encourage creativity, problem‑solving, independence, and teamwork
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Use positive guidance techniques to support behavior and emotional growth
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a licensed early childhood center
• Strong understanding of child development and preschool learning standards
• Passion for teaching and making a difference in children’s lives
• Reliable, professional, and committed to consistent attendance
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
• Experience with Frog Street Curriculum and Conscious Discipline is a plus

Compensation

$18.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
