Job summary

Somerset Community Action Program seeks a passionate Pre-K Teacher to provide a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment for young children. You will develop and implement age-appropriate lessons supporting early literacy, math, science, fine motor, and social-emotional growth.

The role emphasizes building strong relationships with families, observing and documenting progress, and fostering a love of learning in a licensed childcare setting.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • CDA credential or state teaching certification preferred.
  • Experience working with pre-kindergarten children in a licensed childcare center or school setting.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
  • Must successfully pass all required background and fingerprint checks.
