Job summary

HTU is seeking a dedicated educator to plan and deliver engaging learning experiences for students, supervise them across diverse school settings, and monitor outcomes to ensure growth. The role requires Maryland licensure and strong instructional knowledge.

You will collaborate with families and staff, adapt instruction to meet needs, and maintain professional standards while supporting a safe, inclusive learning environment. 10-month term, exempt status, salary scale provided by district.

Qualifications

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students.

• Communicate and interact with students, parents, staff, and the community.
• Develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet all students' needs.
• Provide an environment conducive to intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of children.
• Maintain and improve professional competence.
• Keep appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices.
• Monitor proper use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Maintain regular, on-time attendance.
• Serve on special committees.
• Perform other duties as prescribed by Maryland State Law, Board of Education policy, Negotiated Agreement, and Building Principal.
• Foster academic growth and nurture young children.

About You

Environmental Factors & Physical Requirements

• Ability to visit other locations with ordinary ambulatory skills.
• Capability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate light to medium weights (10-50 pounds).
• Good hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and visual acuity for keyboard use.
• Frequent sitting, reaching, talking, and hearing required.
