Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students.
- Supervise students in various school-related settings.
- Monitor and evaluate student outcomes.
- Communicate and interact with students, parents, staff, and community.
- Develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet all students' needs.
- Provide an environment conducive to intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of children.
- Maintain and improve professional competence.
- Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices.
- Monitor appropriate use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain regular, on-time attendance.
- Serve on special committees.
- Perform other duties as prescribed by Maryland State Law, Board of Education policy, Negotiated Agreement, and Building Principal.
- Prepare students for later grades by encouraging exploration of learning opportunities and perseverance with challenging tasks.
- Provide materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use in learning activities and imaginative play.
- Organize and lead activities promoting physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
About You

- Bachelor’s degree and licensure as established by the Maryland State Department of Education.
- Other experience as established by Maryland Law and Board of Education policy.
- Knowledge of subject matter and appropriate instructional methodologies.

- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Compensation & Benefits
- 10-month term of employment.
- Exempt status.
- Salary Scale: EACC, U1.
Environmental Factors & Physical Requirements
The role requires ordinary ambulatory skills to visit other locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate light to medium weights (10-50 pounds). Good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity including grasping, and visual acuity to use a keyboard are necessary. Frequent sitting, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and hearing are required.
