Prospect Hill Academy Charter School - Early Childhood Campus in Somerville, MA seeks a Pre-Kindergarten ESL Teacher starting Aug 19, 2026. You will design high-quality instruction and coach teachers to support English Language Learners in a diverse PK-2 setting.

The role requires MA licensure as a Teacher of English as a Second Language, at least 3 years of public school teaching experience, and strong collaboration with families and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Massachusetts licensure as a Teacher of English as a Second Language.
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a public school setting (SEI model preferred).
  • Familiarity with state and federal guidelines regarding language instruction for Limited English Proficient and Immigrant students (RE-TELL).
  • Experience in the administration of ELL assessments (ACCESS, LAS, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ongoing communication with parents and colleagues.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Director of Multilingual Learning and/or building principal.
  • Fulfill non-instructional duties as assigned by the building director (morning supervision, advisory, bus duty, etc.).

What does an ESL Teacher at Prospect Hill do?
