Overview of Role

Join the Match Community Day elementary school as a Pre‑K Teacher. You will be fully responsible for the growth and achievement of 17‑18 children in your class. A paraprofessional supports you in the classroom. The school day runs 7 am–2:45 pm, with professional development on Wednesdays until 4:30 pm.

Compensation

Salary range for new teachers: $61,812 – $98,899. Benefits include 90 % coverage of employee health insurance costs and up to $150 /month in loan repayment assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Teach all blocks except for Arts and PE.
  • Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations and provide support to help students reach them.
  • Actively participate in Match’s coaching and professional development programming.
  • Assist with school programming during non‑instructional time as needed.
  • Serve as a positive, collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree.
  • At least two years of full‑time classroom or special‑education teaching experience, preferably in an urban setting.
  • Meet Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certification requirements, or be able to meet them within one year of hire.
  • Belief that all students can and will succeed.
  • Desire to continually improve teaching practice through feedback.
  • Proven record of student growth and achievement.
  • Current U.S. work authorization.
