Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a part-time Pre-K Teacher Assistant to support a nurturing classroom for four-year-olds. You will help implement lesson plans, supervise daily activities, and foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth under the Lead Teacher’s guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Teacher Assistant Certification required.
• Associate’s degree in education or related field preferred.
• Must pass state background checks.
• Experience in childcare or classroom support preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and adaptability when working with young children.
• Ability to stay active in a hands-on classroom.

Responsibilities

• Support and carry out lesson plans under the Lead Teacher.
• Assist with learning activities and smooth transitions.
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Provide supervision and assist with personal care routines (toileting and handwashing).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Support planning for individual student needs.
• Maintain attendance to support UPK requirements.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.
