Job summary

Kinder Prep Montessori in Brooklyn Heights seeks a caring Pre-K Teacher for children aged 4 to 5 to join our early childhood team. You will create a nurturing, engaging classroom that supports social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through age-appropriate activities and individualized care.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree or 90 credits toward Bachelor's in ECE.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with 4- to 5-year-olds in preschool or daycare.

Job description

We are seeking a caring, dedicated, and experienced Pre-K Teacher for children ages 4 to 5 years old to join our early childhood education team at Kinder Prep Montessori in Brooklyn Heights. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and safe classroom environment supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through age-appropriate activities and individualized care.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, passionate about early childhood education, and comfortable collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to support each child's development and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 4-5 years old
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Follow daily classroom routines and schedules
• Work collaboratively with teachers and administration
• Communicate professionally with parents and families

Compensation & Benefits:

• $55,000-$60,000 annually
• $1,000 annual bonus
• 4 weeks of paid time off per year

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education OR 90 credits towards a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, AND a minimum of 2 years of experience working with this age group in a preschool or daycare setting
