Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. is seeking a passionate Pre-K Teacher to lead NC Pre-K classrooms in Hamlet. You will create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support school readiness and family engagement.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (40 hours/week) with benefits and opportunities for professional growth in a supportive community program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• NC Pre-K qualifications and licensure requirements required.
• Experience working in preschool or Pre-K settings preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test; submit to random drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Support children’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Assess and monitor children’s developmental progress; maintain classroom records.
• Partner with families to support student success.
• Ensure compliance with NC Pre-K and licensing standards.

UCCA is seeking passionate early childhood educators to lead NC Pre-K classrooms serving preschool-aged children. The Teacher creates engaging learning environments that support children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development while promoting school readiness and family engagement.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday 7:30am-3:30pm (40 hours/week)
