Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. in Hamlet, NC seeks a Pre-K Teacher to lead NC Pre-K classrooms, delivering developmentally appropriate instruction and supporting readiness.

You will collaborate with families, assess progress, maintain records, and ensure licensing standards. This full-time role offers a schedule of Monday–Friday 7:30am–3:30pm and benefits including PSLF eligibility and comprehensive insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required.
• NC Pre-K qualifications and licensure requirements are required.
• Experience working in preschool/Pre-K settings preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills essential.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test; random drug screenings.

UCCA is seeking passionate early childhood educators to lead NC Pre-K classrooms serving preschool-aged children. The Teacher creates engaging learning environments that support children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development while promoting school readiness and family engagement.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am-3:30pm (40 hours/week)

Physical Requirements

Must be able to actively supervise preschool-aged children, move throughout classroom and outdoor learning environments, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
