Job summary

SOUTHEAST POLK COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT in Altoona, IA is seeking a PK Paraprofessional (Sp Ed) to support instructional and behavioral goals under licensed staff supervision. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Paraeducator Certificate from Iowa DOE.
• Experience with Pre-K–12 students.
• Must pass background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with small groups or individual instruction.
• Maintain a safe, orderly learning environment across settings.
• Prepare classroom materials and set up activities.
• Address physical or behavioral needs of individual students.
• Complete clerical tasks as assigned and follow IEP directives.
• Attend required staff meetings and maintain student confidentiality.
