Job summary

Dysart Unified School District is hiring a Teacher Pre-K Special Education to create an environment addressing the diverse needs of students receiving special education services. The role provides supports so students access the general curriculum within a full continuum of services.

The teacher will manage IEP compliance, collaborate with families, staff and administrators, and deliver direct instruction under the district’s standards while maintaining confidentiality and ethical practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or equivalent.
• Arizona Early Childhood Special Education certificate.
• AZ IVP fingerprint clearance and background checks.
• CPI training certification for behavior support.
• TB skin test or healthcare provider clearance within limits.
• Food handler and First Aid/CPR certifications.
• Two letters of recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains confidentiality per FERPA.
• Provides case management for students on IEPs.
• Direct instruction as per individual education plans.
• Develops and implements full continuum of services.
• Maintains accurate and complete data records.
• Serves as a consultant in the RTI process.
• Coaches and trains staff based on IEPs.
• Maintains ongoing communication with parents/guardians.
• Provides behavior management support and BIP implementation.
• Implements accommodations and modifications for student success.
• Attends staff meetings and professional development.
• Maintains a safe learning environment with an effective classroom management plan.
• Establishes good rapport with students, staff, community, and vendors.
• Maintains high ethical standards and confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned.
