Job summary

Portland Public Schools in Portland, Maine is seeking a highly qualified Pre-K Special Education Teacher Leader. You will complete evaluations for 3–5 year olds, draft IEP goals, and participate in eligibility determinations. You’ll also plan ESY services and provide leadership and coaching to the ECSE team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education required.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Maine teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations for Pre-K students.
• Draft IEP goals and attend eligibility meetings.
• Plan and implement specially designed instruction and ESY programming.
• Lead and provide coaching to itinerant ECSE teachers and related service providers.
• Coordinate professional development and facilitate team meetings.
