Qualifications

• Minimum age of 20 years.
• Pass the ETS Para-Pro Assessment – Score 450; or
• Complete 2 years (48 semester hours) from accredited college with required 15 hours basic ed courses.
• Or earn an Associate’s Degree from a state-approved institution.
• Or hold a Child Development Associate Certification (CDA).
• Must be computer-literate.
• Must pass a physical exam prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with small group/individual activities.
• Support instructional process and record observations.
• Assist with classroom routines and attendance.
• Help implement the classroom management plan and supervise students.
• Maintain appropriate professional relationships with staff and students.
• Observe confidentiality and participate in professional development.
