Job summary

WARNER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Springfield, MA is seeking a Pre K Para Educator to assist classroom teachers and support a high-quality educational program. The role focuses on instructional support, classroom activities, and behavior management to meet diverse student needs.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 60 college credits or an Associate’s degree (or approved alternative), and passing WorkKeys or ParaPro where required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 60 college credits or an Associate’s degree, or passing scores on ParaPro or WorkKeys assessments.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong public speaking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provides assistance with classroom activities and prepares instructional materials.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior and supervises students on field trips.
• Performs other support services and duties as requested by the Building Principal.
