Celebree Schools in Crofton, MD is seeking a dedicated early childhood educator to join our School family. You will lead a classroom, follow MSDE-OCC regulations, and deliver engaging, theme-based lessons that support young learners' growth.

Qualifications

• BA in early childhood education or related field plus the above requirements preferred.
• MD State Credential Level 5 is required.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages classroom ensuring compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.
• Provides a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for all children, parents and visitors.
• Maintains attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and a Parent Board updated regularly.
• Creates and implements thorough, timely lesson plans that are age appropriate and stimulating in accordance with weekly themes and Celebree’s curriculum; manages effective classroom transitions.
• Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsels children using positive discipline techniques.
• Ensures appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom are maintained.
• Completes classroom paperwork (Daily Reports, accident reports, attendance records).
• Provides support and direction to assistant teacher to ensure the classroom functions in an orderly manner.
• Communicates effectively with parents, greeting by name and providing regular updates on child development.
