Celebree Learning Centers is hiring for a full-time early childhood educator to manage a classroom in Maryland. The role emphasizes MSDE-OCC compliance, welcoming environments, and engaging weekly themes aligned with Celebree’s curriculum.

You will develop age-appropriate lesson plans, supervise children, and collaborate with the assistant teacher, while maintaining clean, safe facilities and ongoing parent communication.

Qualifications

• 900 clock hours in Child Development and Curriculum Planning accompanied by 1 year experience in a licensed preschool classroom.
• Experience may be replaced by 1 year of college (30 semester hours) or a combination of classroom experience & college hours.
• 9 clock hours of training in communicating with staff, parents, and the public is required.
• AA or BA in early childhood education or an AA/BA in an unrelated field with the above requirements is preferred.
• MD State Credential Level 5

Responsabilités

• Manages classroom ensuring compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.
• Provides a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for all children, parents and visitors.
• Maintains attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational Parent Board updated regularly.
• Creates and implements lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating in line with weekly themes and Celebree curriculum; manages transitions.
• Assists and supervises children during activities; counsels children using positive discipline techniques.
• Maintains appearance, cleanliness and safety of the classroom.
• Completes all classroom paperwork (Daily Reports, accident reports, attendance).
• Provides support and direction to the assistant teacher to ensure orderly classroom operation.
• Communicates with parents: greeting by name, addressing concerns, providing regular updates on development and happenings.
• Identifies opportunities or problems in the classroom and works with staff to resolve.

Formation

900 clock hours in Child Development and Curriculum Planning

1 year experience in a licensed preschool classroom

1 year of college (30 semester hours) as substitute

9 clock hours of training in communicating with staff, parents, and the public

AA or BA in early childhood education or related field

MD State Credential Level 5
