Qualifications

• State licensing requirements for Lead Teachers must be met.
• 6–12 months of early childhood or classroom experience preferred, depending on credentials.
• DHS licensing qualifications may include CDA, CCP, EEC, or NAC credentials.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Build positive, professional relationships with children and families.
• Recognize and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including IEPs.
• Plan, implement, and document developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Use Cadence-required systems and communication tools to communicate with families and staff.
• Maintain a safe and well‑supervised classroom following safety policies.
• Document and report accidents, incidents, and escalated behaviors per policy.
• Follow Cadence Education policies and standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required trainings and meetings, possibly outside regular hours.
