Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Lead Teacher for the Before and After School Programs at DB Bunce Elementary School in Pavilion, NY for the 2026–2027 school year. The role follows the school calendar with a split schedule: morning 7:00–8:45 am and afternoon 2:10–6:00 pm.

Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs. The position is part-time, non-exempt, with employer-paid childcare benefits and various health and retirement perks.

Qualifications

• Requires health clearance (TB screening) per state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework).
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and be a positive role model for children.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies and host school policies.
• Support program operations (attendance, registration, staffing).

Education

Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field

Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential

9 Credits in Early Childhood with plan of study leading to Associates or credential
