Key Responsibilities:

• Kindergarten Readiness: Guide children in developing the academic, social-emotional, and self-help skills needed for a confident transition to kindergarten.
• Curriculum Planning: Design and implement developmentally appropriate, engaging lesson plans aligned with our emergent curriculum and inquiry-based philosophy.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Lead the Pre-K classroom with intentionality and vision, while fostering a strong partnership with assistant/co-teachers, administrators, and families.
• Documentation & Communication: Observe and document children’s growth and development, and maintain open, regular communication with families about progress and goals.
• Classroom Culture: Create a warm, inclusive classroom community where all children are respected, supported, and inspired to learn through play, exploration, and relationships.

Qualifications:

Skills & Attributes:

• Passion for early childhood education and a deep understanding of Pre-K development
• Warm, compassionate, and creative teaching style
• Commitment to inclusive education and meeting diverse needs
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of lead teaching experience in a Pre-K or similar early childhood classroom

Education:

• Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
• 90-hour early childhood certification preferred but not required

Certifications:

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
