Job summary

Santa Fe Community College locates a dedicated Teacher Assistant at the Kids Campus Early Learning Center in Santa Fe, NM. The position supports Lead Teachers in daily activities, documentation, and child care tasks, with emphasis on safety and inclusive practice.

On-site, Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the role requires collaboration with families and adherence to NAEYC, NM PreK, and ECECD standards. CPI, CPR training and ongoing PD are expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of early childhood education principles.
• Knowledge of child growth and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Knowledge of regulations for health and safety.
• Knowledge of computers and job-related software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teachers in planning, implementing and documenting activities.
• Prepare daily logs, incident reports and portfolios.
• Set up materials and equipment for daily activities.
• Ensure sanitation and daily cleaning of toys and surfaces.
• Supervise children on playgrounds and during routines.
• Communicate with families to foster strong relationships.
• Comply with NAEYC, ECECD and CACFP requirements.
• Attend required professional development for curricula and accreditation.
