Job summary

Parkview/Early Literacy Center in Roswell, NM is hiring a NM 4Y Pre-K Educational Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. You will support the teacher in preparing students academically, socially, and physically for the 21st century.

The role involves assisting licensed staff, guiding small groups, and using classroom technology while maintaining accurate records and confidentiality. Prior school experience and NM Level III certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, additional education and/or training desirable.
• Possess or qualify for a New Mexico Level III Educational Assistance license.
• Experience in school environment preferred.
• Demonstrate aptitude for the work to be performed.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed personnel in school environment when individual differences are respected.
• Work with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
• Assist in maintaining students’ involvement in appropriate tasks.
• Use current technology for instructional management needs.
• May be in charge of the classroom for brief periods of time.
• Maintain confidentiality with sensitive matters and treat people with respect and dignity.
