Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Arlington Central School District for the 2026–2027 school year. The role runs part-time with shifts that follow the school calendar, including morning and afternoon programs.

Employer-paid childcare and other benefits support work-life balance. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of childcare experience), pass health clearance, and demonstrate reliability,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

PAY RATE: $16.00 per hour

SCHEDULE: Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 7:00 - 9:15 am

Afternoon Program: 2:15 - 5:00 pm

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
