Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a Part-Time Pre-K Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Arlington Central School District for the 2026–2027 school year. The role supports children ages 5–12 with a structured, engaging curriculum and activities aligned to the school day.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent or at least 1 year of experience with children, and health clearance including TB screening.

Qualifications

• Prior childcare experience or education-related coursework preferred.
• Must meet health clearance requirements including TB screening.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, art, homework).
• Provide a safe, healthy, and engaging environment and serve as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies and school rules.
• Support program operations including attendance, registration, and staffing tasks.

PAY RATE: $16.00 per hour

SCHEDULE: Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 7:00 - 9:15 am

Afternoon Program: 2:15 - 5:00 pm

Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Position Responsibilities

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
