Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Arlington Central School District for the 2026–2027 school year. The position supports children ages 5–12 with engaging, curriculum-based activities and supervision during the morning and/or afternoon sessions.

Compensation is $16.00 per hour with part-time, non-exempt status and hours aligned to the school calendar. Employer-paid childcare and other benefits are included where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, or at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, etc.) and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance, registration and staffing responsibilities.

Morning Program: 7:00 - 9:15 am

Afternoon Program: 2:15 - 5:00 pm

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.


• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.


• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.


• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
