Job summary

NorthWest EMS is a professional non-profit ambulance service providing 911 EMS across 15 municipalities in Allegheny County, PA. We offer flexible scheduling with 8, 12, 16 and 24 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, and provide full time, part time, and casual opportunities.

Required qualifications include PA licensure as a registered nurse, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ability to obtain medical command authorization.

Qualifications

• Pennsylvania RN licensure required.
• AHA BLS for the Healthcare Provider required (or equivalent).
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• PHTLS/ITLS or TNCC within 3 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain medical command authorization.

Responsibilities

• Provide EMS care as a licensed RN on ambulance services.
• Join a professional non-profit EMS team serving 15 municipalities.
• Maintain required certifications and licenses.
• Assist in operations with flexible scheduling and shifts.

Company: NorthWest EMS, Work Hours: Flexible Scheduling - 8, 12, 16 & 24 hour shifts available, weekends and holidays as required.Full time, part time, and casual opportunities available.

NorthWest EMS is a professional non-profit ambulance service covering the 911 medical services for 15 municipalities in Allegheny County as well as the Pittsburgh International Airport. NorthWest EMS responds to over 20,000 calls for service each year.

NorthWest EMS offers a diverse work environment under a progressive medical command system.

• Pennsylvania licensure as a registered nurse
• AHA BLS for the Healthcare Provider (or equivalent), ALCS, and PALS
• PHTLS/ITLS; or TNCC (within 3 months of hire)
• Ability to attain medical command authorization from agency medical director
• EVOC (in-house training available)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Act 33, 34, and 73 clearances (within 90 days of hire)

PREFERRED

• Current, unrestricted medical command authorization
• CCRN, CTRN, CFRN, TCRN, or CEN certification
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• At least 2 years EMS experience or at least 1 year ED/ICU experience
• ICS 100, 200, 700, 800

Salary range: $24.88 to 33.66/ hour
