Job summary

NorthWest EMS is seeking EMTs for full-time, part-time and casual opportunities in the Allegheny County area. Flexible scheduling includes 8, 12, 16 and 24 hour shifts with weekends and holidays as required. The EMS team covers 911 medical services for multiple municipalities and the Pittsburgh International Airport.

Qualifications include PA Certified EMT, AHA BLS, EVOC, valid driver’s license and clearances (Act 33/34/73). Preferred candidates have 2+ years EMS experience.

Qualifications

• AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider (or equivalent).
• EVOC certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Act 33, 34, and 73 clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical services as part of ambulance crew.
• Respond to 911 calls and transport patients as needed.
• Operate in a professional, patient-focused manner.

NorthWest EMS is a professional non-profit ambulance service covering the 911 medical services for 15 municipalities in Allegheny County as well as the Pittsburgh International Airport. NorthWest EMS responds to over 20,000 calls for service each year.

Salary range: $15.53 to 20.89 / hour
