Job summary

NOV in Fort Worth is seeking a skilled Machine Operator for its Pre Fabrication department. You will handle raw materials and operate various machines (Plasma cutter, Water Jet, Saws, Shears, Press Brake, Punch Press, Roller or similar) to create finished parts according to blueprints, supporting the welding group and ensuring a smooth workflow.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a machine operating role.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to read measuring devices (Tape Measure, Calipers, Micrometers).
  • Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Operate multiple machines to produce finished parts as per blueprints.
  • Ensure a steady supply of raw materials for the welding group.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the welding team to understand their requirements and adjust production accordingly.
  • Monitor and control the quality of finished parts, ensuring they meet specified standards.
  • Keep accurate records of production data and report any issues or deviations.
  • Assist in training new operators and sharing best practices.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to address any machinery-related concerns.

  • The ability to read and interpret multiple measuring devices. (Tape Measure, Calipers and possibly micrometers)
  • Knowledge of basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand/stoop/sit for 8 hours
  • Ability to pass a Physical Exam
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Willingness to undergo training and adapt to new technologies.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations and use safe work practices.
