Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical in Chester, VA seeks a full-time Pre-Fabrication Electrical Helper to support the shop and field operations in the commercial electrical construction industry. Responsibilities include installing, altering, and repairing electrical systems, reading fabrication drawings, measuring layouts, and maintaining inventory.

Travel may be required. OSHA 10 preferred or obtainable; High School Diploma required; background and MVR checks as needed.

Qualifications

• Recent related commercial electrical experience or equivalent education.
• Electrical experience.
• Experience reading fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Experience bending pipe and running various types of conduit preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Builds, installs, alters and repairs electrical systems in the commercial construction setting.
• Reads fabrication drawings and blueprints; measures and lays out work.
• Works from ladders and in shop environments.
• Maintains Master Inventory List and tracks materials in/out.
• Keeps project managers and estimators updated on material status.
• Travel may be required.
