Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, Chester, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Electrical Helper for an entry-level role. You will assist commercial electricians with tasks, handle materials, and help install conduit, wires, and strapping under supervision.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, OSHA 10 or the ability to obtain it, and successful completion of pre-employment background and MVR checks where required. IES emphasizes safety, competitive pay, and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• 6 months or less recent electrical field experience
• High School Diploma/GED required
• OSHA 10 or ability to obtain
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist commercial electricians by performing various tasks and material handling
• Properly mounts and installs assigned work conduit, wires, and strapping as directed
• Assist in wire pulls and other duties as directed by supervisor
• Works from all types of ladders
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures
• Travel may be required.
