Fire Fighter Sales and Service Co. in Warrendale, PA is seeking a Pre-Engineered Systems Technician to inspect pre-engineered systems and perform minor repairs in customer facilities.

This role requires a high school diploma, knowledge of pre-engineered systems, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate field work; travel is possible for on-site inspections and service calls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of all types of pre-engineered systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage field personnel and work with office staff.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work with the pre-engineered division on inspections and repairs.
• Coordinate service work schedules with departments.
• Inspect all pre-engineered systems (hoods, vehicle systems, paint booths).
• Resolve issues in the field regarding pre-engineered systems.
• Survey repairs and provide labor/material estimates to service sales.
• Work with the inspection department and perform annual extinguisher/e-light inspections when needed.

Job Summary: The Pre-Engineered Systems Technician is responsible for inspecting pre-engineered systems and performing minor repairs on pre-engineered systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work directly with the pre-engineered division on inspections and repairs.


• Coordinate service work schedules with various departments.


• Inspect all pre-engineered systems (hoods, vehicle systems, paint booths, etc.).


• Resolve any issues/problems in the field regarding pre-engineered systems.


• Survey repairs and facilitate work to be completed with service sales.


• Review deficiencies and provide estimate of labor and material to service sales.


• Work with the inspection department.


• When needed, perform annual inspections of fire extinguishers and e-lights, when it is needed the same day as the pre-engineered system inspection.

• Ability to manage field personnel.


• Ability to work with office personnel.


• Must be organized and detail oriented.


• Basic computer skills using Microsoft office.


• Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

• Work offsite at customer facilities - clean/unclean conditions, hot/cold conditions


• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.


• Work may include climbing ladders


• At certain jobsites, safety shoes, hard hats, and safety apparel may be required.
