Job Overview

As Pre-Construction Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all pre-construction activities, including budgeting, scheduling, estimating, and coordinating with internal and external teams. You’ll play a key role in setting projects up for success from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate project plans, drawings, and specs to determine scope and feasibility
• Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates and pre-construction budgets
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to gather competitive bids
• Develop and manage pre-construction schedules and deliverables
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and executive leadership
• Support business development efforts through conceptual budgeting and presentations
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in pre-construction or estimating for commercial projects
• Experience with retail, healthcare, and/or education sectors is preferred
• Strong understanding of construction methods, cost planning, and scheduling
• Proficiency with construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Excel)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
