Job summary

QualiTech in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Pre-Bake Floater Operator to support the production of our industrial baking equipment, including mixers, ovens and pre-weigh ingredients.

The role requires following safety and food safety programs, operating in multiple production areas, performing routine equipment setups, and collaborating with team members to ensure a clean, safe and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to understand and follow direction and pass all Food Safety and Safety courses in English.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers with decimals.
• Ability to read computer screens and enter data.
• Read and follow work instructions.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Work independently with self-management.
• Mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

• Attend and be on time for all pre-shift production meetings.
• Participation and adherence to all food safety and safety programs.
• Completion of assigned Alchemy courses that are required throughout the year.
• Perform day to day production operations in oven, mixing, or pre-weigh areas.
• Pre-weighing and preparing raw baking ingredients.
• Combining dry and wet ingredients in industrial-sized mixers.
• Breaking down and installing rollers, dies, and other machinery parts.
• Washing equipment and parts between production changeovers.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a sanitary and working condition.
• Assist Mixer Operators in getting required ingredients as needed.
• Assist Oven Operators in change-overs as needed.
• Assist other areas of production as needed.
• Communicate relevant information to other shifts and employees.

Purpose:

Pre-Bake Floater Operator are primarily responsible for the production of the industrial baking machinery and support areas they are assigned to on a day-to-day basis; including mixers, ovens and pre-weigh ingredients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend and be on time for all pre-shift production meetings
