Job summary

Evolving Solution Services is seeking a Sanitation Technician at our Fort Wayne facility to maintain cleanliness and food-safety standards. The role supports production by following SSOPs and the Master Sanitation Schedule to keep equipment and areas clean and compliant.

The technician will document cleaning activities, ensure sanitary conditions, and participate in safety and pest-control inspections. Daily tasks include facility upkeep, record-keeping, and cooperation with shifts and teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Leadership qualities; able to work independently.
• Effective communication with coworkers.
• Able to read and understand SSOPs in English.
• Mechanically inclined; comfortable with basic tools.
• Proficient with Windows-based software (Excel, Word).
• Experience with boom and scissor lifts a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule to ensure equipment and areas are cleaned regularly.
• Maintain an audit-ready facility meeting food safety requirements.
• Clean production equipment per SSOPs.
• Accurately and legibly maintain cleaning records.
• Keep utensils, equipment and areas clean and safe.
• Dispose of trash and cardboard properly.
• Maintain exterior grounds cleanliness.

Purpose:

The Sanitation Technician position is responsible for maintaining the facility following written Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s) for production to run product that meets all food safety requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) to make sure that all equipment and areas are cleaned on a regular basis
• Maintain the facility that is audit ready in a manner that meets all food safety requirements
• Clean production equipment following established SSOP’s
• Accurately and legibly maintain cleaning records
• Ensure that all utensils, equipment, and areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner
• Empty all trash and cardboard containers and dispose of properly
• Maintain the facilities outside grounds for cleanliness

Hours:

• Weekly shift rotation / 2 consecutive days off per week / 40 hour week / 4 day weekend once a month / Work 20 days a month off 10 days
• Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
• Weekends are required on the rotation
• Overtime may be required
• Flexible schedule for holidays

• Production area can vary in temperature either be cool or warm depending on the season and possibly humid in the summer months
